Writing and Illustrating Children’s Books – Week 1

Course Details

Age: 7-10

Cost: £180 (Early-Bird: £162)

Ever wanted to create your own book? As with this course in 2019, you will get the chance to develop your skills in writing and illustrating through different mediums. You will build character profiles and have the chance to explore various methods in bringing your ideas and characters to life. By the end of the week, you will get to finish, bind and take your own book home to read and share!

Covid-19 Update

Classroom based courses will be limited to a maximum of 12 pupils. Pupils will be socially distanced within the classroom and will be asked to bring their own personal equipment. Pupils will sit at the same desk each day, and any ICT equipment will be labelled so the pupils use the same device all week. Classrooms will be supplied with antiseptic wipes for any shared equipment.

Tutor Profile

Chloe Fagan obtained her degree in English Literature at Durham University and completed her MA in Victorian Literature, Art and Culture at the University of London. She joined the Perse in 2016 and teaches English. She continues to enjoy writing and painting in her spare time.
