Age 7-10 & 11-14

The world is drowning in unwanted materials. Are you a budding designer and maker? This course will get your creative juices flowing and help you to make use of old stuff and make it into new stuff!

We will breathe life into the undesired, bringing ‘waste’ materials to life. We will make t-shirt yarn, mosaics and jewellery and more. Please bring an old t-shirt you don’t want any more or one from a charity shop to get us started. We will provide all other materials.

Course Tutor

Anna Wingfield has worked in schools and the creative industry since university including in glass and reclaimed design. She has a love of environmentally conscious design and making products to solve a problem using waste materials and the satisfaction that it brings.

Melissa Hall came into teaching from a career in the creative industry. With a degree in design and CAD she specialises in fusing technology and traditional couture craftsmanship. Melissa has been a teacher at The Perse for five years.
