‘Rugby Skills & Games (non-contact)’

What’s the young rugby player in your family up to this summer? The Perse Summer School is offering the unique opportunity for pupils to receive expert coaching from Saracens and Harlequins community coach, Mike Head (RFU Level 3). The aim of this course is to get more pupils with a rugby ball in their hands, improving their skills & game understanding and above all having lots of fun! We will combine a variety of rugby related games and challenges with technical skill development and pupils will be split into smaller groups at times depending on the activity. This is a non-contact rugby course and welcomes all pupils, regardless of previous rugby experience.

Tutor Profile

Mike Head is a professional rugby coach and is RFU Level 3 qualified. Mike teaches rugby to a variety of age groups within schools and clubs throughout the year. As an independent contractor coach with Saracens and Harlequins, Mike regularly leads groups on school holiday coaching clinics and Premiership match day coaching experiences for children. Alongside this work, he is a head coach at Ruislip RFC. Mike is incredibly passionate about coaching rugby in a way that pupils enjoy whilst developing their key skills and game understanding.
