Do you want to design, make and perform with your very own puppet theatre? Using popular stories as a starting point, you will learn to produce your own puppet theatre, complete with scene backdrops and puppets. You’ll discover how to script your own productions and perform them for one another, before taking the theatres home to share with family and friends.

Tutor Profile

Charlie Bown graduated with a 2:1 (BA Hons) in Drama: Theatre, Film and Television in 2008 from Bristol University. She later qualified as a teacher, gaining a PGCE from the University of Cambridge. Her teaching roles have included a mainstream primary and a special school. Charlie is passionate about writing and performance with a number of scriptwriting, acting and directing credits to her name, including a show at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. During her A Level study of Design and Technology, she was a finalist in The Audi Young Designer of the Year competition and is looking forward to returning to The Perse Summer School for a third year.
