Summer is an excellent time to get out and about on the water and have a go at messing about in boats and that’s exactly what we will be doing on this course. Spending time in both canoes and kayaks, you will get the opportunity to learn new techniques and develop your skills. You don’t need to have any prior watersports experience to take part other than a willingness to have a go and get wet! We will start the week with the basic skills needed to move your craft through the water (with plenty of more challenging tasks for anyone who has done it before) and progress through to the finer skills of a seasoned paddler. We will also cover rescue skills in both craft to ensure that everyone is safe and can help each other back into their boats. Of course, there will be lots of opportunities to play games and compete against each other which can lead to people going for an unplanned swim so watch out!
