Course Details

Age 7-12

AM, PM or full day

Cost: £34  per half day session / £68 for a full day (to book a week please book each daily session individually)

A rotation of sporting activities, for those who want activity and variety! These might include tennis, hockey, cricket, touch rugby, netball, rounders, badminton, basketball, table-tennis, and more! The course is aimed at children up to the age of 12, although older children will be welcome. The children will be split into smaller groups depending upon the sport and older children will have opportunities to develop some leadership skills.

Tutor Profile

Tom Dipple is a PE & Games teacher based in London. He discovered a passion for sport during his time as a pupil at The Perse and is now a level 2 qualified coach in rugby, hockey, and cricket. He believes that young people of all abilities can benefit from playing sport, and is excited to be returning to The Perse Summer School for another year! Tom will lead the multisport programme but he will be joined by other tutors as numbers require.

Catherine Henderson is an enthusiastic PE and games Graduate Assistant currently working at The Perse Upper School. She has a passion and knowledge of a variety of sports and is looking forward to another Summer School programme in mulit-sports.

Sam Featherstone teaches economics and coaches rugby at The Perse. As an Old Persean, he has a first-hand experience of sport at The Perse. Sam’s primary sports are rugby league and rugby union, but he also regularly plays tennis and cricket. Sam also partakes in endurance challenges, where he mainly focuses on long distance running and cycling.

Sean Park is Director of Cricket at The Perse and runs the senior golf team. He is a big believer in making sport as fun and as accessible as possible, taking great pride in seeing the progression of players as they move through the school.

Andy Lingley is a DCA qualified coach with 24 years of full time coaching experience. He has been teaching Tennis at The Perse Upper School since 2014 and is the current Head of Tennis at The Upper School as well coaching at the University of Cambridge and the Cocks and Hens tennis club .

Josh Marlow currently oversees the implementation of strength & conditioning across the senior school and has provided strength and conditioning support for teams and athletes alike over East Anglia. He holds both a BSc and MSc in Strength & Conditioning Science, amongst level one coaching and refereeing certificates with Basketball England.

Jacob Butler has been a sports coach for a number of years and holds qualifications in football, dodgeball, netball, and delivering primary school PE. He is part of the PE and games department at The Perse Prep school and is a passionate and avid sportsman. He enjoys participating in all sports and being part of a team.
