Course Details

Cost £225

Age 7-10

Students will be assembling a simple circuit and drive train, and creating their car chassis to a competition spec. They will then have the freedom to customise their racers bodies using a broad spectrum of tools and materials to make the fastest racer and be crowned The Perse Summer School champion!

Course Tutor

Nic Mainiero is the Head of Design Technology at The Perse and has spent 14 years delivering a wide range of design and technology courses. Before that he worked in industry as a product and graphic designer and has a board spectrum of experience from working with the national theatre to campaigns for multinational businesses.

Josie Rogers has a Fine Art degree from the Cambridge School of Art and specialises in printmaking, photography, graphics and 3D work. Her work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions and she has been working as an Art Technician for over 10 years – she is currently working at The Perse.
