Football – children will develop all of their skills around, dribbling, shooting, passing, control and tackling techniques whilst also focussing on developing match based principles and game play. Age groups would ideally be split 7-10 & 11-14.
Tutor Profile
James Buckley is a teacher of maths at The Perse Upper. He currently coaches our Sixth Form 2nd XI. Before working at The Perse he has coached school girls’ football teams, and has played 5 a side and 11 a side for teams in Nottinghamshire leagues.
Dan Nicholes is a passionate and enthusiastic sportsman. He has been involved at The Perse for 11 years and he is currently Head of PE, boys’ cricket, football and rugby at The Perse Prep School. Daniel is a professional sports coach with qualifications in football, cricket, rugby, netball and gymnastics.
Liam Woods is a Teacher of Maths and Head of Year at the Perse Upper. He coaches our Sixth Form 1st X1 and has coached football throughout his teaching career to different age groups. Liam continues to play 7 a side competitively across Cambridgeshire and also has a passion for racket sports, playing badminton and tennis in local leagues.
Clinton Wedderburn is employed as a sports coach at The Perse Upper School since 2000. He is engaged in multiple sporting activities at the school including football. He is a Level 3 Basketball England qualified coach who has played both in local and national league fixtures for Ipswich and Colchester basketball clubs. While serving with Colchester basketball he represented England against Harvard University.
