Booking FAQs

 

How do I register?

  • You will first need to register on the Booking Portal.
  • Once you have entered your email address you will be sent an email link to verify your account.
  • You will then be taken to a page where you can fill in your account details.
  • Once your account is set up please register your child or children using a separate form for each.

Can I use my account from last year?

No. Apologies for the inconvenience, but we need to ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact and medical information and it is therefore necessary for parents to re-register.

Do I need to register if I am already a Perse parent?

Yes. The Summer School Booking Portal and the Perse Parent Portal are completely different systems.

What information will I need to register?

  • Once you have registered you will need to complete a form which provides parental contact details. This form need only be completed once for each family.
  • You will also need to provide medical and dietary details and consents for your child/children. You must complete an individual form for each child.

What are the payment options?

  1. You can pay by credit/debit card. When you check out on the Booking Portal, you will be asked for your card details.
  2. To pay using childcare vouchers, please see below.

How do I pay using childcare vouchers?

  • Our payment system cannot take childcare voucher payments directly.
  • You will need to make the payment through the website of your childcare voucher provider.
  • As soon as you have completed your course booking through the Summer School Booking Portal, please log onto your childcare voucher provider’s website and make the payment to The Perse Upper School.
  • It is essential that you make the voucher payment immediately after you submit your booking, as we cannot hold places without payment. It is also essential that you email a screenshot of your voucher payment to summerschool@perse.co.uk to aid us in the verification process.
  • The Edenred voucher number is: P20032284. (Please note that Edenred vouchers cannot be refunded.)

What happens if I don’t have enough vouchers available at the moment?

Sorry, courses must be paid for in full at the time of booking. We cannot confirm any course before we have the full payment

How do I know if a course is full? Is there a waiting list?

  • The website will display availability for the courses, however please note that this is not updated live but once every 24 hours in the working week.
  • The Booking Portal is updated live and automatically calculates the available places. Once courses are full you will no longer be able to select the course.
  • We will run waiting lists for courses which sell out. If you would like your child to be added to a waiting list for a course, please email the Summer School office summerschool@perse.co.uk.

Do you take group bookings and agents

No, sorry. The Perse Summer School will not accept group bookings or booking from agents, however, as an individual parent/guardian you may register your own children on your account.

Do you take international pupils?

Can I cancel a booking and get a refund?

  • If you find that you need to cancel a booking please first see our Terms & Conditions and then contact the Summer School office by email summerschool@perse.co.uk.
  • Refunds will only be made in line with the Summer School Terms & Conditions which can be found in the footer of this site and on the Booking Portal.

Can I get a refund if I pay using childcare vouchers?

In most cases, yes. But please be aware that not all childcare voucher companies allow refunds in the event that you need to cancel your booking – you should check with your provider about their policy. Please email childcarevouchers@perse.co.uk and copy in summerschool@perse.co.uk to discuss refunds related to childcare vouchers.

What are the timings of the day?

  • Morning session is 9am to 12pm
  • Afternoon is 1pm to 4pm
  • Early and late stay is possible from 8am until 5.30pm (charged per day)

How does drop off and pick up work?

  • The Perse School has a good car park but we ask you to follow our signs very carefully. We will register all children coming onto our site at the gate
  • Pick up ‘exit’ locations for pupils will vary according to the age of the pupil group. More details will follow.

What’s for lunch and how does it work?

We will publish a lunch menu in advance. If you prefer to bring your own food that is fine. No nuts on site please (allergies!). Any child can stay for lunch even if they are only booked for morning or afternoon sessions. There will be some supervised activities at lunch if children wish to join, otherwise it is an hour of free time on our site.

What if I don’t know anyone else on the courses?

Well over 500 children come to our Summer School. We will look out for you and do our best to help you feel at home.

What happens if I am late arriving or late to pick up?

You can book our early or late stay (They are charged at £4 per morning session and £6 per afternoon session). If your arrangements change just contact us to let us know and we will help. Our site will close at 5.30pm so we can’t help later than that though.

Where these are not pre-booked the School has a right to charge these fees if the child is dropped off early or collected late from the School outside the published Course hours.
