On Wednesday afternoon the Department for Education unexpectedly issued guidance pertaining to summer schools.
Under this guidance and also with reference to previous guidance it is the case that until the state schools in the area finish for the term – which is, in Cambridge, from Friday 17th July – we are able to offer a summer school to the following groups:
– Perse pupils in year groups which have already returned to school (nursery-year 6 and years 10 and L6) and who are not attending any other childcare settings
– Perse pupils in other year groups (years 7-9) only if they have a parent who is a keyworker or they are vulnerable and they are not attending any other childcare settings
– Pupils from other schools IF they have a parent who is a keyworker, or they are vulnerable, and they have no other access to key worker provision
The Perse’s insurers stipulate that we must operate in accordance with government guidance.
IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A NEW BOOKING FOR THE PERSE SUMMER SCHOOL IN WEEK 1 (6TH – 10TH JULY) OR WEEK 2 (13TH – 17TH JULY) PLEASE NOTE THE NEW RULES ABOUT ELIGIBLE PUPILS FOR THOSE WEEKS.
THE PERSE SUMMER SCHOOL REMAINS OPEN TO ALL PUPILS FROM ANY SCHOOL FROM 20TH -31ST JULY, AS LONG AS PUPILS ARE NOT ATTENDING ANY OTHER CHILDCARE SETTINGS DURING THAT TIME.
Please be assured that should government advice change and further courses are unable to run, we will offer full refunds.
