Age: 7-10 & 11-14
This year we will be learning how to live comfortably in the wild, working as a team to meet all of the survival priorities of shelter, water, fire and food. If you ever find yourself in the wild and want to know how to protect yourself, light a fire and cook up a feast then this is the course for you. Over the week we will move through all of the skills needed for living in the wild, starting with the basics of building shelters and lighting a fire (even in the rain) and progressing on to learning how to prepare and cook your food. This is a brilliant opportunity to build up your skills in an environment where normal facilities are taken away from you, requiring good teamwork and a willingness to learn quickly. This course isn’t just about survival and doing things as easily as possible, instead it will give you skills to thrive when in the outdoors and live comfortably.
