AGE 7-10 & 11-14
The students will be learning how to bake a range of biscuits, cakes, Danish pastries and tray bakes using a variety of techniques and it aims to give young people an exciting and successful start to their baking career. The students will also be able to bake and design their own three tier cake on the last day of the course. A recipe pack will be provided for the students to annotate and take away with them.
Joanna Jeffels joined the support staff team at The Perse in September 2021. Prior to this she has worked alongside a professional pastry chef at a Scottish lodge and also as a chalet girl in the Alps. More recently she has run the school baking classes in a primary school for over five years.
Dani Creese has been working as a biology teacher at The Perse for the last 14 years and is a senior member of the pastoral team. She loves to bake, especially anything chocolate-themed, and is excited to share her passion for creating delectable food with others.
