Have you ever been fascinated by the mosaics of ancient Rome? Awed by the theatre masks of ancient Greece? If you ever have, this is the course for you! During this hands-on programme, you will get to learn all about a medley of art forms and techniques from ancient civilisations around the world; not just the Mediterranean. You will also explore how ancient peoples of the Near East, Middle East, and Far East designed and created their own art. You will then use this knowledge to have a go yourself – this is your chance to create new, ancient art!

Course Tutor

Hannah Thorpe has a Classical Civilisation degree from the University of Warwick, and is currently teaching ancient history and English at The Perse School. She is passionate about ancient history being a subject which looks beyond just Greece and Rome, out to the rest of the world.
