The Perse Sports Centre - Equipment and Facilities
Please drop your child and collect your child at The Perse School car park on Hills Road so your child can be registered by a member of staff, in and out.
Lockers are available for children to use. If they would like to bring their own small/medium combination lock to secure items, they may do so. It is possible to use a locker for the session without using a combination lock.
Climbing
Please arrive at the sports centre ready for your climbing or bouldering lesson. There are appropriate areas within the centre where you can change your shoes.
We recommend you wear comfortable light breathable/flexible fabrics, so that you are able to move freely when on the wall. For example, shorts or leggings, loose fit T-shirt (sports bras are recommended for girls where age appropriate). Please wear indoor trainers. Check out our climbing wall at The Perse Sport Centre.
Swimming
Our changing facilities include 18 changing cubicles and two group change areas, as well as six shower cubicles. All children should wear appropriate fitting costumes/trunks and shorts specifically designed for swimming. Baggy costumes and trunks can hamper movement. Swim hats and goggles are encouraged. See our swimming pool here.
Your course will be led by a member of the highly experienced Perse Outdoor Education Department, Climbing Team.
