Whether you are Italian, whether Italy is your favourite holiday destination, or you have never set foot over the Alps, this course will give you a chance to get a taste of Italy. Setting off from Bologna and travelling south to Palermo, we will explore the food and traditions of 5 Italian cities! You will learn to prepare a range of different Italian recipes, using a variety of different techniques, and will discover the history behind each dish. A presto!
Marta D’Asaro, originally from Sicily, completed her MA in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Pisa, having studied Italian literature and linguistics as part of her degree. She joined the Perse in 2018 and teaches Classics and has run the Lower School Baking Club for two years. Marta continues to enjoy cooking, reading, and walking in her spare time.
